Nancy Yeilding
Keynote Speaker on Social Justice
Nancy Yeilding is the founder and head of Island Gurukula Aranya—a universal contemplative center—in Washington state. She is a lifelong dedicated student and teacher of the world’s rich heritage of unitive wisdom, particularly as exemplified and taught by Narayana Guru and his successors. From the center, which also functions as the Western headquarters of the East-West University of Unitive Sciences, she teaches students across the world online. Author of the book 'Narayana Guru: A Life of Liberating Love' and editor of dozens of books on spirituality, science, and health, she also was the long-time publisher of the Gurukulam, a journal of philosophy and the arts.
Karine Morin
Keynote Speaker on the Dimensions Program
Karine Morin, Director, Policy and Interagency Affairs at NSERC will present the salient features of the Dimensions Program, followed by a Q&A session. The program addresses obstacles faced by, but not limited to, women, Indigenous Peoples, persons with disabilities, members of visible minority/racialized groups, and members of LGBTQ2+ communities in the post-secondary research ecosystem. It provides public recognition for institutions committed to achieving increased equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI).

R. Stacey Laforme is the elected Chief of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation (MCFN). Born and raised on MCFN, Chief Laforme has served his community for over eighteen years being first elected to council in 1999

Enakshi Sinha
The Power of Performing Arts in Social Justice
Enakshi Sinha is a Toronto-based classical Indian (Odissi and Bharatanatyam) dance exponent and teacher. In her dance career of 17 years, she has performed at various dance festivals in India and at distinguished events in North America. In her talk, covering her experience and experiments with performing arts, Enakshi will explore the power of performing arts in highlighting social justice issues and impacting positive social change.

Shubhangi Vikhe
Delivering social justice through innovative methods
Shubhangi Vikhe is a Senior Application Developer at RBC Capital Markets, but that’s not all she does. Before she moved to Canada, Shubhangi was involved in voluntary services in her remote village in India. From Canada, Shubhangi now runs a program that covers over sixty schools and brings new light into the lives of over ten thousand children, a majority of who are underprivileged children who were not adequately exposed to technology and modern teaching methods.
